Meet Jon Teraoka. Jon has been married to his lovely bride, Janelle, for over 38 years! They have two adult children, Jaressa and Blake.
He is CEO of several organizations—W.I.S. Logistics and Mainfreight Milwaukee (with several subsidiaries under those). Jon is passionate about helping his clients solve their problems. This is not small task given the supply chain bottlenecks and port issues these days. However, Jon is very industrious and consistently looking for different ways to resolve issues.
If Jon weren’t already busy enough leading and setting the vision for his companies, he became an EOS Implementer. He fell in love with this process while applying the principles to his own company and decided that he wanted to help other companies achieve their goals through EOS.
Jon has seen a lot in his career, working in Corporate America for 17 years, before starting his first business at age 40. Throughout his journey, he has discovered that following his passion is of utmost importance to him. Today, he gets to choose what he does each day, ensuring that he is following passion and needs of his clients with every decision.
Jon’s favorite part of his Vistage experience is his group. This is a common theme amongst Vistage members, because the group is the private advisory board. Members can share experiences here where they cannot anywhere else. Jon has a nickname “Rocket” because of his golf game. I’ll let him tell you all about that. His favorite pastimes are golf, driving (he is definitely a car enthusiast) and boating. The books he most recently read or is currently reading are Radical Simplicity by Dan Price and Profit Works (an EOS book).
If Jon were in charge of the WORLD, he would lead the charge in helping people to get along. One person he would have loved to have lunch with was Steve Jobs.
